Course-Related Technical Support
Your online coursework is delivered through Canvas, our Learning Management System (LMS), which is accessed using your MyJSU login credentials. Online@JSU can assist you with course-related technical issues, or you may contact Canvas Support directly for assistance with Canvas or Canvas Studio. To contact Online@JSU, email [email protected] or call 256-782-8172. Direct Canvas Support is available by calling (877) 404-2235 or by selecting chat or self-help options from the Help area in Canvas global navigation.
Non-Course-Related Technical Support
The Technology Support Center can assist you with issues related to MyJSU, Gamecock Electronic Mail (GEM), DUO (two-factor authentication) and other software related issues. To contact them, submit a support ticket, email [email protected] or call 256-782-8324.
Financial Aid
Learn about the many forms of financial assistance that may be available to you. JSU’s Financial Aid Office has helpful information on methods of financing your online education, including scholarships, loans, military benefits and student employment opportunities.
Course Materials
Once you are logged onto Canvas, you can take advantage of JSU’s FirstDay™ program, which provides access to digital textbooks and other course-required materials on or before the first day of class.
The Office of the Registrar
The Office of the Registrar assists students and alumni by fulfilling requests for official transcripts, providing academic calendars, processing transfer credits and enrollment verifications, and preparing for commencements each term.

The JSU Writing Center
The JSU Writing Center can assist with both written and verbal communication at any stage of the writing process, from ideation through final review. Students may book one-on-one online consultations, participate in topical workshops or view videos of previously recorded workshops.
Houston Cole Library
ULifeline
As part of our holistic commitment to student success, ULifeline is JSU’s online resource to support your mental health. Virtual counseling services are available at no cost to all currently enrolled online students. The website also has helpful information on a wide range of topics, from anger and alcohol abuse to stress management and conflict resolution.
Business/Industry Partnerships
JSU maintains strong connections to businesses and industries through our Business/Industry Partnerships program. Partners participate in JSU career fairs and recruiting activities, and if your current employer is a JSU business/industry partner, you may be eligible to receive a tuition discount or waived application fees.
Military & Post Traditional Student Services
JSU’s diverse student population includes a large component of active and retired members of the military. As part of our Military & Post Traditional Student Services, assistance is available on a wide range of topics, including both federal and state military benefits.
